This thing should not be used at base 6 under any curcumstances.
Base 6, after ruin is basicly already 3 layers of reality.
Im not sure how this things would deal with so many layers.
(1th layer, the insurgency as invisiond by the collective CI writting commiunity,
2th layer, the insurgency that thinks it is in the first layer, but is actually a drug projection saving a past image and
3th layer, everyone is death, exept for some anomalies, Meta, Cad and Kuhli)
Dont look into base 6.
Quantum mechanicks have told us about superposition (something is every possible thing untill it is messured).
This glasses could collaps reality around base 6 superposition
or just drive everyone mad that looks at it.
I find the concept great, but i dont see the CI in this.
If you want to see other worlds without restrictions of reality or science try "Status Quo"
(the drug floting arround in the ruin base 6)
under the Codename "DREAM ARCADE".
The pictures fit, but with the weaky "lets go for it" and "the real Philadelphia Experiment" it sounds more like Site Zeta and less like an offical government operation.
It would be cool if Zeta really were behind it and doing a bad job hideing as a government project, that could be disproven very easiely.
I had a similar idear in the Zeta case were they used a bad coverstory to get someone from the GOI to investigate to extract information from the GOI member.
Why should the government use children?
If this is not like in "Evangelion" were only emo challenged teens could use the gigant robots then there is no point for it.
In the cold war the US would not prepare children for future use, but would seek a very short term solution. (I know its so that they could be still around today, but it dose not make any sens to me.) Ex armee members or highly trained officers, but not some children.
Might be possible that in there search for canidates they got a bad draw, mainly an insurgency member how stole the prototyps and plans and the lit the whole place on fire.
Fighting Monsters and Language since 2016.
(Yes, i know its Fiction.)
