Usage
The Item is issued to the Archival Administrative Wing of Base-Nine for analog documentation purposes. The Objekt has 3 buttons on the back of the pen. Each button has two Letters engraved in it, the following is the description of these buttons with the addition of the function:
- “On” Button: Activates/Deactivates the button. Functions as a on/off switch
- “Cp” Button: When pressed, it takes a photograph like flash copy. It can only hold one fotographed copy of something at a time.
- “Wr” Button: When pressed the pen automates itself and produces a semi-permanent black ink-like substance, with wich it starts “printing” the copy on any surfaces underneath it. Normally the with and length it prints the copy is in a 210 mm x 297 mm format. The Object does not differ on any material and the ink-like substance can not be removed without specialized equipment.
Its primary function for the Chaos Insurgency currently is the assistance for copying documents and pictures. Currently the item is not to be taken into field missions, tho the usage for quicksaving vital operational data is noted, but not approved due to the danger of the deletion of named data.1
Report
The Object is a dark grey digital pen of the producer [Classified] with three main buttons at the non writing end of the pen. The Item has no visible charging port and doesn’t need batteries. As X-Ray Analysis of the insides shows, the object does contain a batterie, but a extraction procedure was denied.
The Item is contained inside a Containment-Box in the Archival Administration Wing of Base-9 and should only be handled by a minimum of two (2) Gamma-Personnel.
Then the item is activated by pressing the “On”-Button once. After activation, the user of the object can press the “Cp”-Button (Copying-Button) to photographically copy a area of view, normally in a 210 mm x 297 mm format. If the “Wr”-Button (Writing Button) is pressed after the item photographed something, it will moving and write or draw the photographed area in the same format as it was copied.
After Incident CP-#3981, no personnel below gamma class clearance, without essential training with the object and without a White Hazmat suit with no hole wider than 1.5cm is to be allowed access to the object and is not authorized to handle the object at risk to damage dokuments, personnel or the base.
The means for self–automation are unknown. If the object is elevated and “Wr”-Button pressed, it will gently drop down and start showing typical behavior.
On March 17.05.201█ the Item was found in an abandoned Factory by construction workers, who were tasked to renovade the building into a storage area. After the construction workers discovered the ability of the item and the management of the construction company was informed, the Chaos Insurgency Intelligence Administration send an IAO-Team to retreave the object.
